Wilson has created a design book, Doug’s Rooms: Transforming Your Space One Room At A Time, as an inspirational tool for personal creativity and high impact design. His philosophy is to look within oneself and find those things that make one tick, feel good, and want to wrap around oneself. Objects of inspiration are one of the elements that can kick start a personal space just for oneself and perhaps one’s family. He encourages people to not simply decorate like neighbors but to make a space and home one’s own.
