CNN obtained a letter from President Trump firing Intelligence Community Inspector General Michael Atkinson for telling Congress about the whistleblower complaint that led to his impeachment. Trump said Atkinson would be fired in 30 days. He had no replacement. As with other positions Trump can appoint, he must have full confidence in inspectors general. “Not with this Inspector General.”
