Sasha Roiz, an Israeli-Canadian actor, rose to prominence after his breakout role as Captain Sean Renard in the dark fantasy television series Grimm. He’s also known for his work on the science fiction TV show Caprica. He’s also starred in a number of successful films, including The Day After Tomorrow, Land of the Dead, and others.

When and where was Sasha born?

Sasha Roiz was born on October 21, 1973, in Tel Aviv, Israel, to Russian Jewish parents. Elan Roiz is his younger brother. He and his family relocated to Montreal when he was six years old. His nationalities are Israeli and Canadian, and his heritage is mixed.

Roiz studied history in Montreal after discovering his passion for theater at an early age. This happened after he joined the Tricky Woo rock band as a drummer.

Roiz moved to Guildford, England, and graduated from the Guildford School of Acting.

In 2001, Sasha Roiz made his acting debut in an episode of the TV series Largo Winch. After a supporting role in one of the year’s biggest box office hits, The Day After Tomorrow, he gained worldwide acclaim. It was also his feature picture debut, in which he appeared alongside Dennis Quaid, Jake Gyllenhaal, Emmy Rossum, and Ian Holm on the big screen.

Roiz went on to star in a number of famous films, including Assault on Precinct 13, Land of the Dead, Man of the Year, and others. Prior to movies, the actor appeared in a number of popular television shows, including Show Me Yours, G-spot, Jeff Ltd, CSI: Miami, and Across the River to Motor City.

Roiz was cast in the TV series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation in 2010 and received positive reviews. In the following year, he appeared in the Caprica opposite Esai Morales and Paula Malcomson.

Sasha performed the character of Lucifer in the TV programs Lucifer and Suits in 2019.
