Tig Notaro was born in Jackson, Mississippi, on March 24, 1971, as Mathilde O’Callaghan Notaro. Pat Notaro and Mathilde Susie O’Callaghan are her parents. Her early years were spent in Pa s s Christian, Mississippi, but her family eventually relocated to Spring, Texas. Renaud Notaro, Notaro’s older brother, is a radio talk show host. When she was two years old, Renaud was the one who gave her the nickname “Tig.”
