• He tried suicide twice, the first time with sleeping drugs and the second time with a rifle. When he lost communication with Mary, his sickness was getting worse. Vili was caring for two tiny girls at the time.
• Vili’s family and friends were unsupportive as well. According to the DJ, his buddies couldn’t help him because they didn’t know what it was like to be a father. The teacher divorced her husband in 1999. On August 4, 2004, Mary was released from the Washington Correctional Center for Women.
• Vili petitioned the court the same year to have their contactless status reversed. The court really heard his appeal. After turning twenty-four years old, Vili and Mary married on May 20, 2005.
